What is One Tree Planted?
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization founded in Vermont in 2014. Their mission is straightforward – “to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees.” They work across the world in over 82 countries and 378 local partners to fund global reforestation due to wildfires, floods, and other disasters.
Having planted over 135.5 million trees since its founding in 2014, One Tree Planted helps to improve air quality, filter water, combat climate change, and support biodiversity.
However, that isn’t where One Tree Planted stops. They also focus on their social and economic impact by creating jobs, supporting farmers and local communities, and partnering with schools via educational programs like T.R.E.E.S. Visit their website to learn more here.
